World Book Day was celebrated in Scoil Mhuire on Friday March 6. The children all participated in Drop Everything and Read. The children dressed up as their favourite character from a book. 1st and 2nd Class participated in a quiz in their classroom. 6th Class hosted a quiz for the children in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class. Senior Infants, 2nd Class and 3rd Class attended workshops. All classes participated in Where’s Wally? where they uncovered this year’s code “Open a book and open your mind”. Classes particpated in a colouring competition and the winners have recieved their prizes today. Well done to all who put a great effort into promoting and celebrating reading among our students!!!
