6th Class Visit to the Dail Chamber in Dublin

Mar 3rd, 2024 | 6th Class

On the 30th of January, 6th class took a visit to Leinster House. We arrived in Dublin at around half past 10 and went to Merrion Square Park for a picnic. Soon after, we walked to Leinster House and had a one hour tour. We learned lots of interesting facts; for example, the first lady who lived in the house got married at thirteen and had nineteen children. We also got to visit the Dáil Chamber, where we found out about all the famous people who previously spoke in the chamber. We were really impressed with the chandeliers in the Seanad chamber, made from Irish crystal and still hanging since the house was first built. We also saw old photos of the previous presidents. We ended our trip with walk to St. Stephen’s Green and had another picnic with all of the seagulls.

A very enjoyable day.
