School League Gaelic Football Final

Dublin 4-5 | Tyrone 3-8 (AET). Dublin win on golden goal!

Last Thursday in front of a passionate crowd in the school hall the final of the school Gaelic Football League was held. A tremendous occasion which finished all square after extra time.

The referee, Mr Guinan, had to play Golden Goal to decide the winning team. Tyrone were sure they had the match won when D Imran sent over a wonderful point but the referee reiterated his rule of 'Golden Goal'.

Three minutes later Dublin captain, B Hogan, shot directly into the net for the all important Golden Goal and Dublin were the champions!

We had a lively presentation afterwards when winners, runners up and a pupil from all the other teams were presented with medals.

Mr Devlin thanked Miss Jackson and Mr Guinan for all of their time refereeing league matches and for all the encouragement gor the pupils.

It's basketball after Christmas and we all can't wait!!!!
