Dear Parents/Guardians,

As the end of the school year approaches, please take note of the following items of information:

1. School Tours.

Friday, June 1st: 1st Class - Causey Farm. Friday, June 1st: 3rd Class and Room 8 – Rathbeggan Lakes. Wednesday, June 6th: 6th Class – Boora Parklands, Offaly. Thursday, June 7th: 4th Class – The Zone, Navan. Friday, June 8th: 5th Class – Boyne Valley Activity Centre, Trim.

2. Cake Sale in aid of Myanmar School.

Well done to the pupils of 6th Class who raised €420.00 in their recent Cake Sale. Thank you to all pupils who brought in money and cakes to support this event. The cheque will be presented this Friday at the Senior school assembly.

3. Vision Screening for Junior Infants.

The HSE nurses will be in the school on Friday, June 8th to examine the Junior Infant pupils. Parents are welcome and examinations usually start at 10.00 am in the Senior School hall.

4. Girls’ Soccer Coaching.

Girls from 1st, 2nd and 3rd Classes will be participating in the FAI Initiative for girls on four Tuesdays in June from 11.15 am to 12.15 pm.

5. Meath Schools Athletics Meeting.

On Tuesday, June 12th pupils from Scoil Mhuire will participate in the annual Meath Schools’ Track & Field Athletics Meeting in Claremont Stadium. The pupils will travel to and from the event by bus.

6. School Sports Day.

Wednesday, June 13th is School Sports Day. Parents are welcome to come along and join us on the day, weather permitting.

7. Early School Closure.

Scoil Mhuire will close for all classes (including Room 7 and 8) at 12.30 pm on Thursday, June 14th for Child Protection Training for all staff. Please make arrangements to collect your child that day.

8. Pride of Place Level 3 Award.

Congratulations to the school Gardening Club under the guidance of Ms Pamela Farrell and Mrs Maria Smith, on their recent achievement of Level 3 award in the Meath County Council Pride of Place competition.

9. School Reports & Stamped Addressed Envelopes.

As in previous years, class teachers will post home our annual school reports. Please send in a Stamped Addressed Envelope to your child’s class teacher, as soon as possible.

Reports will be posted home on Friday, June 22nd.

10. Book Rental.

Thank you to those families who have paid their Book Rental Fee for September 2018. Please send it in, as soon as possible, so you child can have their books immediately on return in September.
