Newsletter, 2nd October 2019
All pupils are now settling back into the school and we would like to thank all families for their help and co-operation. Please take note of the following items of information:
1. Allianz Pupil Personal Accident Insurance.
All pupils have been given a Pupil Personal Accident Insurance Form. The closing date for the return of the form is Friday week, October 11th. Late forms will not be accepted, please send back the form with money to the class teacher, as soon as possible.

5. Enrolment for Junior Infants 2020.
Any family who has a son/daughter at home who is four years old or who will be four in 2020 are invited to get an ‘Application for Admission’ form for Junior Infants from the school office to fill in. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate, PPS No. and proof of address. Enrolment is open from Friday, October 4th to Friday, October 25th at noon.
6. Parents’ Representatives on School Board of Management.
All schools will be setting up New Boards of Management in November 2019. Each Board has two parents’ representitives on it; a mothers’ representative and a fathers’ representative. The current representatives are Mrs. Emer O’Sullivan and Mr. Richard Kolodziej. A meeting to select two new representatives will be held on Tuesday, October 15th at 7.30 pm in the Senior School Parents’ Room. All parents are requested to come along and vote for parents who will be selected on the night. I look forward to a good attendance on the night.
7. Birthday Party Treats/Invitations.
In line with established school policy parents are reminded that pupils’ birthdays must be celebrated at home. We do not allow families to bring in treats for the whole class. These celebrations are for home only. The same goes for Birthday Party Invitations. These invitations should be given outside of school premises as naturally all classmates cannot be invited and this can cause upset. Thank you for your help in this matter.
