Easter Holidays - School will close on Friday, 12th April at 12 noon and re-opens on Monday, 29th April.

We have six weeks left in this school year and it is a busy time for everyone. Please take note of the following items of information:
1. Cake Sale in aid of Myanmar School.
6th Class are holding a cake sale today, Tuesday, May 22nd in aid of our sister school in Myanmar. Every year we raise money to help buy books and resources for a school that caters for refugees in Myanmar.
2. School Closure.
Scoil Mhuire is closed this Friday, May 25th as the school is being used as a Polling Station for the Referendum.
3. First Holy Communion.
The First Holy Communion Mass for pupils from 2nd Class and Room 8 will take place this Saturday, May 26th at 10.00 am in St Mary’s Church. We wish all pupils involved a happy day on this special occasion.
4. School Photographer.
Memory Lane Photography have been booked for Monday next, May 28th to photograph the First Communion and Confirmation groups. Please bring in your outfits that day.
5. Dentist Visit.
The dentist will visit the pupils of Rooms 7 & 8 at 11.30 am next Monday, May 28th.
6. Infant Induction Day.
The new Junior Infants for September 2018 will visit the school on Thursday, May 31st at 1.15 pm. Junior and Senior Infants will go home at 12.30 pm that day.
7. School Tours.
Friday, June 1st – 1st Class Causey Farm. 3rd Class and Room 8 – Rathbeggan Lakes.
8. School Closure.
Scoil Mhuire will be closed from Monday, May 7th to Friday, May 11th inclusive. Please consult the school calendar for any other closures.
9. Book Rental.
The Book Rental Scheme is for all pupils from Junior Infants to Third Class. Pupils from 4th, 5th & 6th Class can avail of the Second Hand Book Scheme which has operated for the last number of years and most pupils get their books for less than €30 euro which also includes their copies for each subject. The Book Rental Fee can be paid in a number of ways:
- a once off payment of €60 euro
- 3 payments of €20 euro
- 6 payments of €10 euro
- 12 payments of €5 euro
9. Change of Phone No/Address.
If you have changed your phone number and or address recently please let us know. It is very important that we have up to date information in the event your child is sick or has an accident at school.
