Dear Parents/Guardians,

All pupils and families are now settling back into the school routine of uniform, tracksuit on PE days only and homework. Please take note of the following items of information:

1. Allianz Pupil Personal Accident Insurance.

All pupils have been given a Pupil Personal Accident Insurance Form. The closing date for the return of the form is Friday week, October 12th. Late forms will not be accepted, please send back form with money to class teacher, as soon as possible.

2. Schools’ Meals Programme.

All pupils have chosen their daily lunches from the new Glanmore Food menu. The new lunches will begin next Monday, October 8th. All pupils are required to bring home the part of their lunch that they don’t eat in school. Thank you to all families for their co-operation in this matter.

3. School Car Park.

Parents are requested to reverse into your car parking space in the school car park. This is a Safety precaution for all parents as drivers will see who or what is in front of them on their drive out of the car park. Parents are requested not to park in the school car park all day. The car park is to be kept free in the event of the ambulance or fire brigade having to come to the school for an emergency.

4. Punctuality Week.

This week – October 1st – October 5th is our first punctuality week of the school year. Staff will record the numbers of pupils in on time daily and the number of pupils late. We will then get a daily record of our punctuality. School begins each morning at 9.15 am not 9.30 am or later. Please have your child in on time for the 9.15 am bell.

5. Parents’ Meetings for Infants.

Parents of the Infant classes have meeting with class teachers this week: Wednesday, October 3rd - 1.20 – 1.45 pm – Senior Infants Parents – Ms. Dolan. Thursday, October 4th – 1.20 – 1.45 pm – Junior Infants Parents – Ms. Price.

6. Secondary School Open Nights.

The final two Open Night for the Secondary Schools in the town are on this week. Tonight, October 1st – St. Patrick’s Classical School, Navan at 7.30 pm (Parents Only). Thursday, October 4th at 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm St. Joseph’s Girls’ Secondary School, Navan.

7. Scoil Mhuire Open Night.

On Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 we are holding on Open Night in Scoil Mhuire. Parents are welcome to visit the school with their families and view all of the facilities on offer. The school will be open from 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm so please come along and participate in the evening.

8. School Closures.

Scoil Mhuire will be used as a Polling Station for the Presidential Election on Friday, October 26th, 2018 therefore the school will be closed that Friday. Mid-term Break: Scoil Mhuire will be closed for one week from Monday, 29th October until Friday, 2nd November, 2018 (inclusive). School will re-open on Monday, 5th Nov.
