Dear Parents/Guardians,

All pupils have now settled back in to school for the final term. We have a busy term ahead so please take note of the following items of information:

1. Early School Closure.

All pupils will go home at 1.45 pm (except pupils in Rooms 7 and 8) this Thursday, May 16th. This is to facilitate a staff meeting. Please make arrangements to have your child collected at 1.45 pm on Thursday.

2. School Closure.

Scoil Mhuire will be closed on Friday, May 24th as the school is being used as a Polling Station for the local and European elections.

3. Homework Club.

There will be no Homework Club this Thursday, May 16th to facilitate the staff meeting. There will be no Homework Club the following Thursday, 23rd May as the school is closed the next day for elections. The Homework Club will finish for all pupils on Thursday, May 30th.

4. School Tours.

There are two school tours on this week; Wednesday, May 15th – Junior Infants tour to Huckleberry’s Den in Mullaghboy Industrial Estate. Senior Infants tour is on Thursday, May 16th to Mellowes Adventure Centre, Athboy. Both tours will be back in school for home time at 1.45 pm.

5. Infants Vision & Hearing Screening.

The Public Health Nurses will visit the school this Friday, May 17th at 9.30 am to carry out vision and hearing screening on Junior Infants and any new children in Senior Infants.

6. First Holy Communion.

The First Holy Communion Mass for pupils from 2nd Class will take place on Saturday, May 25th at 10.00 am in St. Mary’s Church. We wish all pupils involved a happy day on this special occasion.

7. Confirmation.

Congratulations to 6th Class pupils who received the Sacrament of Confirmation last Saturday with Bishop Dennihan.

8. Infant Induction Day.

Parents of new Junior Infant pupils coming in September 2019 are invited to the school on Wednesday, May 29th at 1.15 pm and pupils of Junior and Senior Infants classes will go home at 12.30 pm that day.

9. Change of Phone Nos./Address.

If you have changed your phone number and or address recently please let us know. It is very important that we have up to date information in the event your child is sick or has an accident at school.
